Panelist Ned Lamont spoke on the need for job creation in Connecticut and the need to aggregate the purchase of pharmaceuticals throughout the state to reduce costs.

Panelist State Senator and congressional candidate Dan Debicella spoke of health care reform’s over-complication with over 2000 pages and worse side deals for exceptions, like with the state of Nebraska. He suggested we might do better if we start over with 10-12 good ideas that are in the bill, like allowing competition with insurance companies outside the state, and make them happen.
Congressman Jim Himes spoke of the need to contain costs through establishing best practice models that if followed would avoid law suits. He feels strongly that a bill is needed to help the millions of Americans without insurance now.
